Add the photo of your signature
Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper and photograph it in good light. Click Select image or drop the photo.
Tune the preview
Watch the checkerboard preview. Move the Cleanup strength slider, choose black, blue or as photographed, and turn on Trim to the signature.
Save the PNG
Download the PNG with a transparent background and place it in Sign PDF, a document or a form.
Ink kept, paper removed, shadows ignored
A simple background remover treats every light pixel as paper, which turns a shadowed corner into a grey smudge. This tool instead estimates the paper's brightness around each point, so a signature photographed in uneven light still comes out clean.
A live preview on a checkerboard shows exactly what the transparent PNG will look like. Adjust the Cleanup strength, pick the ink colour, and trim the picture to the signature with a small margin.

Questions about Make Signature Transparent
How does it remove the paper but keep the ink?
It estimates how bright the paper is around each point of the photo, then keeps only what is darker than that. Because it follows the paper's brightness locally, shadows and uneven light do not turn into grey patches.
What does the Cleanup strength slider do?
A higher setting removes more paper texture and shadow. A lower setting keeps fainter strokes, such as the thin end of a pen line. Watch the checkerboard preview and stop when the signature looks clean but complete.
Can I change the colour of the ink?
Yes. Choose black, blue, or as photographed to keep the colour the pen had in the picture.
What does "Trim to the signature" do?
It crops the picture to the ink, leaving a small margin, so the PNG has no empty paper around it. That makes the signature easier to place and resize in a document.
How should I photograph my signature?
Use plain white paper and a dark pen. Take the photo in even light, from straight above, so there is little shadow. A phone camera is enough.
Is my signature uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo is processed inside your browser tab, so nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored. Closing the tab discards everything.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, after your first visit. The page and its tools are kept by your browser, so you can use it on a slow or dropped connection. Nothing is sent anywhere either way.
