How to use Organize PDF

Drop one PDF on the box. A grid of page thumbnails appears.

Drag pages, or use the move buttons. Rotate or remove pages as needed.

  3. Save the PDF

Press Download. The file is named after the original, with -organized added.

Saving a rearranged PDF

When you press Download, PlumPDF builds a new document and copies the pages into it in the order shown, skipping any you removed and applying the rotations you set. Pages are copied, not redrawn, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.

Thumbnails are produced separately at about 160 pixels wide, only for display. They are rendered lazily as they scroll into view, which keeps memory use low even for long files.

Reordering by drag and drop is awkward on small screens, so each page also has move buttons. They work with a keyboard and a screen reader as well.

Bookmarks and form fields are not carried into the new file, and the document title and other metadata are not copied.

Questions about Organize PDF

How do I reorder pages in a PDF?

Drag a page thumbnail to its new position, or use the move-earlier and move-later buttons, which also work with a keyboard and on touch screens. When the order looks right, download the file.

Can I delete or rotate pages while reordering?

Yes. Each page has a remove button and rotate buttons. Removed pages are dimmed and can be restored until you download; rotation and order are applied together when you save. For a job that is only deleting, Delete PDF pages is simpler.

Can I organize several PDFs at once?

No. Page-level editing is done on one document at a time: you pick pages by looking at that file's thumbnails, and every PDF has different pages. Add the next PDF when this one is saved. Tools that treat every page the same way, such as Rotate PDF, Split PDF and Compress PDF, take up to 50 files at once.

Does the PDF lose quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, not redrawn. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and links within a page keep working. The thumbnails you see while working are only previews.

Is there a page limit?

No fixed limit beyond the 100 MB file size. Thumbnails are drawn on demand as you scroll, so long documents stay responsive, but a PDF with several hundred pages will take longer.

Can I use a password-protected PDF?

Not directly: PlumPDF asks you to remove the password first. If you know it, Unlock PDF saves an unlocked copy you can use here. To lock the result again, use Protect PDF.

Is it safe to reorder PDF pages online?

With PlumPDF, your PDFs are never uploaded. They are opened and rewritten inside your browser tab on your device. Close the tab and nothing remains.
