How to use Extract PDF Pages

  1. Add your PDF

Drop one PDF on the box. Page thumbnails appear.

  2. Tap the pages to keep

Selected pages are highlighted. You can also type a range such as 2-4, 9.

  3. Save the PDF

Press Download for one new PDF with only the selected pages.

Extracting without redrawing

Extraction copies the selected pages into a brand new PDF. They are not rasterised or compressed again, so text stays selectable, images stay at their full resolution and page sizes are unchanged.

Selecting by tapping is quickest for a handful of pages. For long documents you can type a range list instead; it follows the same rules as Split PDF, such as "1-3, 7, 10-12". Overlapping or repeated numbers are counted once, and pages are always saved in document order.

Items that belong to the whole document do not come along: bookmarks, the document title, tagged structure and interactive form fields. A page that contains a form keeps how it looks, but the fields become flat.

If you need each range as its own file instead of a single combined one, use Split PDF.

Questions about Extract PDF Pages

How do I extract certain pages from a PDF?

Add the PDF, tap the pages you want, and press Download. Or type the pages in the range box, for example "2-4, 9". The new PDF holds those pages in their original order.

Do the extracted pages keep the original order?

Yes, they follow the order of the original document, whatever order you tapped them in. To change the order afterwards, use Organize PDF.

What is the difference between Extract and Split?

Extract puts all selected pages into one PDF. Split cuts a PDF into several files, for example one per range or one per page.

Does the PDF lose quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, not redrawn. Text stays selectable, images keep their resolution, and links within a page keep working. The thumbnails you see while working are only previews.

Can I extract pages from several PDFs at once?

No. Page-level editing is done on one document at a time: you pick pages by looking at that file's thumbnails, and every PDF has different pages. Add the next PDF when this one is saved. Tools that treat every page the same way, such as Rotate PDF, Split PDF and Compress PDF, take up to 50 files at once.

Does extracting change the original file?

No. The tool builds a new PDF and your original is not modified.

Can I use a password-protected PDF?

Not directly: PlumPDF asks you to remove the password first. If you know it, Unlock PDF saves an unlocked copy you can use here. To lock the result again, use Protect PDF.
