How to use Invoice Generator

  1. Fill in the form

    Add your business, the customer, the invoice number and dates, then the items with quantity, rate and tax %.

  2. Check the preview

    The A4 invoice updates as you type. Choose the tax, discount, currency, round-off and accent colour.

  3. Press Download PDF

    The file is named after the invoice number. Use New invoice to clear the customer and items for the next one.

What the invoice includes

The form covers your business and the customer, each with name, address, tax number, phone and email, plus the invoice number, title, invoice date and due date. Each item has a description, a code such as HSN/SAC, quantity, rate and tax %, and the line amount is worked out for you. A discount can be a percentage or a fixed amount and is taken off before tax.

With GST, the tax is split half and half into CGST and SGST, or shown as IGST when you tick "Customer is in another state". You can set the place of supply and a tax rate for each item, with 0, 5, 12, 18 and 28 suggested. VAT and sales tax work the same way with a name you choose. You can also round the total to a whole number, which adds a round-off line, and show the amount in words.

Payment details such as bank or UPI, notes and terms can be added at the bottom, along with a signature line reading "For" your business and "Authorised signatory". The PDF keeps real text, so it can be searched and copied.

Questions about Invoice Generator

Is it GST compliant?

The invoice shows the GSTIN, HSN/SAC codes, place of supply, CGST and SGST or IGST, and the total in words. You are still responsible for the details the law asks of you, so check the invoice before you send it.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Choose a logo image in the business section and it appears at the top of the invoice. It is saved on this device so you do not need to add it again next time.

Are my details saved anywhere?

Your business details, logo and options are remembered on this device only, in your browser. Nothing is sent to PlumPDF. The invoice number counts up after each download, and New invoice clears the customer and items.

Does it work for other countries?

Yes. Pick from 18 currencies, including INR, USD, EUR, GBP and AED. For tax you can choose GST (India), VAT or sales tax with a name of your own, or no tax at all. The amount in words works for rupees, dollars, euros, pounds and more.

How are long invoices handled?

A long list of items continues on more A4 pages. The table header is repeated on each page and the pages are numbered. You can add and remove items at any time.

Is the PDF text searchable?

Yes. The text in the PDF can be searched and copied. There is no watermark and no sign-up.
