How to use Image Color Picker
Choose your picture
Press Select an image and pick a photo, logo, screenshot or design.
Click a colour
Click anywhere on the picture. The colour is shown as HEX, RGB and HSL beside it.
Copy the code
Press the copy button next to the value you need, or click a main colour to copy its HEX code.
Exact colours, read from the picture itself
When you click, the tool reads the colour of that exact pixel in the full-size picture, not of the smaller preview on the screen, so the value matches the original file. It is shown in the three ways designers and developers use: HEX for the web, RGB for most apps and HSL for adjusting shades.
The palette comes from a small copy of the picture: its colours are grouped into sixteen, counted, and the six most used are shown, with shades too close to tell apart merged into one. That gives a quick set of matching colours for slides, posters or a website.
Everything happens in your browser, so logos, designs and photos stay on your device.
Questions about Image Color Picker
How do I get the HEX code of a colour in a picture?
Choose the picture and click on the colour. Its HEX code, such as #7B2D8E, appears beside the picture with a copy button.
What are the main colours?
The six colours that cover most of the picture, with near-identical shades merged. They are a quick palette for a design that matches a logo or a photo.
Why is the colour slightly different from the brand colour?
Photos and saved JPGs change colours a little through light, compression and screens. For an exact brand colour, pick from the original logo file, ideally a PNG.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. The picture is opened and read on your own device, inside your browser tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Which formats can I use?
JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and iPhone HEIC photos.
