Each file is judged on its own, with a tick or a cross for every rule, so you can see exactly what is wrong before the form rejects it. Press Make everything fit and the files that fail are fixed in one go. If you have saved a photo or signature in My files with Form kit on, Use my Form kit copy puts it in with one tap.

Photos and signatures are cropped from the centre to the exact pixels, so check that the face or signature is not off-centre. Because the KB are counted strictly, a file that passes here should pass however the form counts. Your files never leave your device, and fixed files can be kept in My files for 7 days.

Questions about SSC CGL Signature Size

What is the SSC CGL signature size?

The SSC CGL notice of 21 May 2026 asks for a scanned signature as a JPG or JPEG between 10 and 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high. A blurred or very small signature is rejected, so sign boldly on plain white paper and fill the picture with it.

What is the SSC CGL photo size?

There is no photo file. The CGL form captures a live photo with your webcam or phone camera. Use a plain background and good light, keep your face fully inside the frame, and take off any cap, mask or glasses. A photo of a photo is rejected.

How are the KB counted?

Strictly, so the file passes however a form counts. The size must be under the maximum times 1,000 bytes and over the minimum times 1,024 bytes. A file just inside the limit on one count may therefore show a cross here, and that is on purpose.

What does Make everything fit do?

It fixes every file that fails. Photos and signatures become JPGs at the exact pixels, cropped from the centre, with the best quality that lands in the KB range. A PDF is compressed by lowering the resolution of its images until it is under the limit, so the text stays sharp. The fixed files show the checks again.

Is my photo or signature uploaded?

No. Your photo, signature and documents stay on this device, and everything is checked and fixed in your browser. Only the rules are in the link, never your files. It works on phones too.

Is this the official SSC CGL website?

No. PlumPDF is not connected to the exam body. The rules here are copied from the SSC CGL notice of 21 May 2026; if the notice for your exam says something else, press Change the rules and type the new numbers.
